Their profiles reflect the diverse skill sets and thought leadership that our community relies on to facilitate enduring market transformation.
Michael Parker, Director & Chair
VP Operations, Ecolight LED Solutions Corp.
With over 20-years of Commercial, Retail & Industrial Real Estate Construction & Operations Management experience, Michael brings a diverse background of knowledge that translates into effective management practices. As General Manager of Canadian Ecolight LED Systems he is responsible for the day to day running of the operations which includes overseeing all aspects of management and communications between manufacturing, sales and operations in Canada, USA & China. His duties also include R&D of new products that will meet the growing needs of the company and offer customers with the latest technology. Prior to EcoLight, Michael had Senior Management roles with TD Bank’s Real Estate Management Group and Whiterock REIT’s Real Estate Management group where he oversaw extremely large, complex Green Building projects in numerous market segments. While at TD, he was also a member of the Green Team that work on Occupant Engagement programs with Landlords, GHG Reporting and provided in house subject matter expertise on various Green Building projects and designs the bank was working on.
With a strong belief in sustainable construction and business practices he has achieved his LEED AP BD+C accreditation and CSBA (Certified Sustainable Building Advisor) designation. Michael has a Master’s in Project Management and has completed CEM (Certified Energy Management) training. As well as serving as Chair, Board of Directors for the CaGBC Greater Toronto Chapter he is also an active member of the Leadership Council for Toronto’s Civic Action’s Commercial Building’s Race to Reduce Program.
